Enjoy our 5 star rustic log home with modern Scandi interior. Our home is the perfect getaway that combines cozy comforts and outdoor beauty. It has views to the South of Cranbrook Hill across the Nechako River and backs onto the Pidherny trail system (direct access outside the back door)- walking, hiking, running and mountain biking at your finger tips! Warm up at the outdoor fire pit (firewood provided) or sit in the sunshine on the patio deck with a bevy.
The Space - Fully Furnished!
We have a Nespresso machine (and caf/decaf pods of course) and milk frother or a selection of teas to start your day. We also have a coffee grinder & Le Creuset bodum. We supply basics including sugar, flour, salt, pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The brand new kitchen boasts a gas range, wall oven, fridge with water dispenser and ice maker, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the dishes, wine/beer/martini glasses, pots/pans, utensils, serving dishes and tupperware you will need.
We have a washer & dryer for your use in the mudroom. Wi-Fi, hydro and gas are included in our rates. Snow clearing in the winter and lawn cutting in the summer are also included.
If you like design, you will really appreciate this space! AJ is a designer/builder and has milled the fir floors from fir beetle-kill wood logged out of the Pidherny forest behind the house. The floors are soap finished in the Danish style (a nod to Ingrid's Danish heritage). We also have several pieces of designer furniture by Niels Bendtsen (Bensen Furniture) as well as decor details by local northern artists.
There's a good chance you may see some wildlife like moose or black bears (don't worry, no grizzlies!) out the large windows in the home. Remember they are more scared of you than you are of them!
